The Wines of Cappucci
Our winery produces a variety of wines, including both white (still Pignoletto, sparkling Pignoletto, Sauvignon) and red (Cabernet, Cabernet Barrique, Barbera, sparkling Barbera) varieties. In addition to these bottled wines, we offer two notable products: Passito di Pignoletto and Grappa di Pignoletto.
In addition to bottled wines, Pinot Bianco, Albana, and Merlot are also available for sale in demijohns. The vineyards, all cultivated on the estate, are managed with respect for the environment through the practice of integrated pest management.

White Wines
The selection of white wines for bottling is based on Pignoletto and Sauvignon.
Perhaps the most distinctive wine produced in the Colli Bolognesi region is Pignoletto, a native grape variety whose origins date back to time immemorial. At the winery, you can taste it in its various forms: still, sparkling, passito, and grappa.
Equally interesting is the Sauvignon Blanc, a wine with a more recent tradition in our hills; it is well-structured and offers a worthy alternative to Pignoletto.

During the period when bulk wine is sold—usually from mid-March onward—Pinot Bianco and Albana are also available at the winery, in addition to the wines mentioned above.
Red Wines
Our selection of red wines is based, for bottled production, on Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera. Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps the flagship of the red wines produced in the Colli Bolognesi region—a significant, full-bodied wine capable of satisfying even the most discerning palates. At the winery, it is available in the traditional version, aged in glass-lined concrete tanks, or aged in barriques, usually for a period of 12 months. Our Cabernet Sauvignon fully expresses its characteristics through an appropriate aging period, which typically leads us to offer it to consumers after at least three to four years of aging, depending on the vintage.
Barbera, although more commonly associated with Piedmont, is a wine with a long tradition in our region. It is available in the style preferred by the people of Bologna—a slightly sparkling version made through natural fermentation—but it is also produced as a still wine.
During the period when bulk wines are sold, usually from mid-March onward, Merlot is also available at the winery in addition to the wines mentioned above.
